Craig Hughes, Director with Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. represented Bandera Ventures, Ltd. in the design, construction and lease of a state of the art military and commercial helicopter blade refurbishment, repair and testing facility for Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. The new Build to Suit facility was completed on January 1, 2009 and consists of a 150,975 square foot helicopter blade refurbishment, repair and testing facility and is situated on approximately 8.69 acres of land under a 40 year ground lease with DFW International Airport. The facility has 12,000 square feet of office and 138,975 square feet of 100% air conditioned shop area with heavy power. The Property will feature a stand alone 40’ tall by 110’ diameter specially designed “Whirl Stand” to test the refurbished blades. The Property is leased on along term basis to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. The lease provides for an expansion of the Property by up to an additional 150,000 square feet (approximately 300,000 square feet total). Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation’s marquis new facility is located at 1727 South Main Street, DFW Airport, Texas.

CTI is the only world wide service center certified by Agusta, Bell, Eurocopter, Kazan Helicopters, MD Helicopters (HTC), Schweizer and Sikorsky to repair metal and composite main/tail rotor blades, and has developed capabilities for composite manufacture and repairs.
