Asset/Land Acquisitions and Dispositions

Throughout Craig Hughes’s career he has been involved in numerous land and building acquisitions as well as dispositions of excess real estate for his clients including manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and excess land holdings.

Clients that Mr. Hughes has assisted with asset dispositions include Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Services in the sale of a 150,000 square foot distribution center, NRG Energy in the sale of 2,500 acres of land, General Electric in the sale of an 82,790 square foot manufacturing facility, Folgers Coffee Company in the sale of a 300,000 square foot, multi-building, food processing campus on 200 acres of land among other asset dispositions.

In 2006 Mr. Hughes assisted Sabre Industries in the site selection, evaluation and incentive negotiations on a land assembly of 149 acres of land in Alvarado, Texas for the construction of a 350,000 square foot, multi-building steel fabrication campus. In 2012 Mr. Hughes again evaluated land sites in eight states for Sabre Industries settling on a 150-acre site in Sioux City, Iowa. As part of the site selection process, Mr. Hughes negotiated economic incentives from the State of Iowa and the City of Sioux City, Iowa to include the contribution of the 150-acre land site and other economic incentives benefiting his client, Sabre Industries, as part of a $20 million ground up development totaling 300,000 square feet for Sabre’s second steel fabrication plant.
