Music Institute of North Texas (MINT) Build-To-Suit

Frisco, Texas, Summer 2009

Craig Hughes, Managing Principal with Hughes Commercial Real Estate and Development, LLC, represented LAI Family Trust in the site selection, design and construction of a state of the art music school located at 4747 Ohio Drive in Frisco, Texas. The ground up 4,550 square foot music school development was completed in July 2009. The music school was a build-to-suit, specially designed facility with sound-proofing in the practice rooms and performance halls for The Julliard School trained pianist Dr. Melody Ouyang.

Prior to constructing this purpose built music studio, Dr. Ouyang was teaching at her private piano studio—Melody Ouyang’s Piano Studio, over 10 years ago. She has developed her own set of piano pedagogy philosophies in teaching all ages and levels. Many of her students are state or local competition winners, and her students have also gained acceptances to top universities and conservatories around the country, including The Juilliard School. In addition to her own private piano studio, Melody Ouyang has taught piano performance at Yale School of Music as a teaching fellow.
